I bought these scales and 99 out of 100 mornings it says I weigh 143.3 lb. I’m 65 years old and I need to lose weight. I believe I made a mistake and that these scales are only effective if the person being weighed is heavy. there’s talk of calibrating them but I don’t see where that can be done and I believe that the scales would just say I’m the same every morning anyway. maybe just a little heavier or a little lighter. I’m interested in losing weight and I bought really high quality scales to help motivate me. I regret giving the old ones away. I have the scales plugged into the wall. I don’t suppose it would make a difference if I put batteries in it as well. I can find no customer service phone number. I bought what appeared to be the best scales that I could find and I’m very disappointed. I’ve weighed myself frequently my whole life and I’ve never owned scales that said I weigh the same thing every morning. I can’t imagine biologically that’s the way it works. if I pick up an object that weighs about 1 lb it does go up. if I pick up something less than 1 lb even though the scales go up in increments of .1 lb, the number doesn’t change. is there a customer service phone number? should I have not bought these scales? they are advertised for a doctor’s office so I thought they would be good. I bought them because I had no interest in calculations other than just my weight. it just appeared so solid I thought I would enjoy having it. if it’s true that they cannot be accurate with a smaller person please let me know and I will try to sell them and buy a new set of scale somewhere else. or if I actually do weigh the same amount every morning then I will keep them. thanks!
